People weighing more than 100 kg often turn to FoodEx. In addition to a balanced nutrition program, our dietitian recommends that they review their physical activity regimen. What sports are safe and what exercises will help to lose weight? We asked our sports expert.
Ruslan Gaidai, trainer rehabilitologist, owner of Unifit (functional training in the fresh air), began with common myths.
Myth 1: “I weigh more than 100 kg because I have problems with hormones.”
Only a small percentage of people are overweight due to diseases associated with metabolic processes. The rest – just EAT MORE THAN SPEND! Our body, as a good owner – all pulls in the house. The only thing that can “take away stocks” is the urgent need.
Myth 2: “I can’t exercise until I lose weight.”
This phrase people just put an end to fitness. You can lose weight without training. But this process will last longer!
From a medical point of view, there are not so many restrictions for sports: obesity is 4 degrees; regular liquid pulse (less than 60 bpm); blood pressure, which rises to 200/120 mm Hg and higher more often than 2 times a month.
So, you need to train. What exercises are safe?
First, consult your doctor and find a qualified trainer.
Start with gradual loads, so that the muscles understand what is required of them. Our task is to avoid a strong influence on the musculoskeletal system, because it is he who bears this “burden” from neglecting proper nutrition. We exclude running, long walking on a treadmill, jumping.
Do not overload the lower back – it is already in constant hypertonia. The back is better to stretch and knead.
The best sports for full people: swimming (from 30 minutes without stopping), cycling or cycling, Nordic walking or classic skiing (in the winter season), Pilates and some types of yoga with an experienced master, exercise therapy and breathing exercises. And, of course, functional training UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF the coach;)
