Graduation is the official start of “adult life”. It is one of the most exciting evenings that will definitely be included in the family photo chronicle and will remain in the memory. Dress, restaurant, makeup, hairstyle, after-party and sunrise – preparations are underway on all fronts.
But you must admit that a couple of extra pounds can significantly spoil your mood and photos;)
FoodEx nutritionist Natalia Fedorenko will tell you how to safely lose weight before graduation without starvation and diets that are dangerous for a teenager.
Step 1. Define the goal
To fulfill the “maximum program” and “bleed from the nose” to lose 10 kg to spite all your friends … If you don’t want to spend your graduation under an intravenous drip, give up this idea. Sudden weight loss in combination with overwork, nervous tension and hormonal changes can have bad consequences …
Without harm to health, you can lose a maximum of 5-7 kg in the remaining month. Any more than that will cost you your health, your blush, and your energy. By the way, you will still need your strength to pass the university entrance exams.
Under the ban:
Doubtful slimming drugs, pills, powder cocktails, widely advertised on TV and in glossy magazines. They promise quick weight loss, having a pronounced diuretic or laxative effect. Weight is lost by dehydrating the body, not by burning fat!
I do not recommend fashionable “detoxes” – juices and smoothies as the main food. Increased acidity from vegetables and fruits can provoke problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Step 2. How to organize everything and who will help?
We have decided on the numbers. The timing is clear. Motivation – turn your goal into a challenge! Bet with a friend on the result, share your plans on social networks, it’s risky … but you can find the perfect prom dress half a size smaller.
If you doubt your abilities, but definitely want to lose weight before graduation, contact FoodEx experts. We will select a nutrition program and support you on the way to the result.
In addition, theBODYology online weight loss program starts on May 22. Receive menus from a nutritionist, follow video workouts, communicate with experts and other participants in a closed Facebook group. It’s worth a try!
Step 3. Reduce calorie intake – increase calorie expenditure
Nutrition:
Everyone knows that to start the process of losing weight, you need to eat 4-5 times a day in small portions and not go beyond your daily calorie intake. To eliminate mistakes in menu planning and not to be fooled by myths about proper nutrition, take a free course from nutritionist Natalia Fedorenko on the Eduget educational platform.
Your diet should contain more protein foods, fresh vegetables, complex carbohydrates (cereals, whole grain bread) and healthy fats (olive, flaxseed, sesame oil, red fish, nuts rich in unsaturated fatty acids). Eliminate “empty” calories from your diet: snacks, convenience foods, frequent snacks in the form of baked goods, sweets, sandwiches, and carbonated drinks. Cooking methods include baking, steaming, and boiling.
Once a week you can have a fasting day, but do not starve. A fasting day on proteins, fermented dairy products, or vegetables will make your metabolism work for weight loss.
Drinking regimen:
It is important to maintain a water balance. Don’t get carried away with green tea and coffee. Give up juices and sugary drinks. There is nothing better than pure drinking water! By the way, water not only helps to lose weight, but also improves skin condition, nourishes cells and increases elasticity. Read how to make yourself drink more here.
Physical activity:
Choose a set of exercises for yourself and exercise regularly – at least 30 minutes a day! Swimming or cycling, dancing, or going to the gym will be a great workout. Daily jogging … well, okay – a walk in the park in the morning or evening will normalize metabolism, enrich the blood with oxygen, which will make you burn excess fat.

Put aside TV shows and follow fitness gurus on Instagram. But don’t stay up late in the evenings – your sleep rate is 8-10 hours a day. It is at night when children grow and girls lose weight, thanks to the work of hormones.
Growing up is, above all, a responsibility. Treat your body responsibly, take care of your health and love yourself!
